NYU Feminist Society: “NYU Tuition Rates Are Beautiful, No Matter What Their Size”

In a recent protest of unrealistic beauty standards, NYU feminists spearheaded a recent campaign targeted at defending what many students have been calling a “ridiculously large tuition.” The group’s intent is to dismantle the unrealistic expectations they feel many people are forcing on the tuition, and stop the fat stacks shaming.

“All tuitions are beautiful. Period. Just because this one doesn’t conform to your male-dominated budgets, doesn’t mean that it deserves any less respect. We should be respecting it even more for being so strong for not changing,” remarked Tina Angelina, head of the Feminist Society at NYU. “Whatever curves, handles, or unneeded expenditures you feel could be cut back on to have a reasonably lower tuition, those are all the tuition’s right. So what if it cost $71,000 dollars per year to attend the 32nd best ranked school in the country? This is the tuition’s decision, not yours. You say it’s unhealthy to charge students more for four years of school than the cost of a ticket to go to space? I say you’re an ignorant asshole, and that’s my right as an American.”

While many public attacks on NYU’s tuition rate have continued, some calling it “difficult to look at” or “not what I’d want for my kids”, others simply mock it’s bulbous size for comedy, further igniting protests within the community. “It’s not the size of the tuition, but the quality of the education,” claims Tina, and while her point may stand with some, others remain on the offensive, determined to get the tuition to “drop a few, fatty.”
