Professor Dresses Up As Main Character of Novel to See Who Did the Reading

Various “fun professors” across NYU are getting into the spirit this Halloween, and Jon Creecher, adjunct professor of English currently teaching “The Mythologies of the Victorian Novel”, is no different. However, Creecher is choosing to dress up as a character from A Tale of Two Cities, refusing to break character, recording who does and does not recognize him, and counting it as a quiz grade. “I didn’t know what he was doing – it’s 9 AM. I’ve read A Tale of Two Cities twice. He just has an awful french accent. I thought he was Inspector Closeau,” said Mary Barnhardt, CAS ’18. “If this actually affects my quiz grade, I’m transferring to Wesleyan.” Creecher was unavailable for comment, but Charles Darnay was all too available.
