Study Shows Monopoly Money More Useful Than Campus Cash
A new study published earlier this week definitively proves that Monopoly Money is more useful the NYU’s Campus Cash.
Conducted by a group of Finance students, the study weighed the purchasing power of the fictionalized currency against that of the school’s and found that more restaurants and stores throughout New York City accepted Monopoly Money than did Campus Cash.
Some pointed out that Campus Cash is the only way to pay for washers and dryers in residence halls. Others responded by pointing to a bag of quarters they brought with them to college and rolling their eyes.
Researchers did note, however, that the final thing that edged it for Monopoly Money was its colorfulness, which was deemed distracting enough to be thrown at a would-be attacker to ensure an easy escape.
