We’re All Interested In The Cherry Blossom Festival. All of Us.

Fallen velvet petals beckon our aching heels

Rustling in mother nature’s breath between blade of grass and strong red root

The honey breeze summons us.

My bare toes not trudging through, but caressing Earth’s floor.

I am back. I have returned to you.

I answer Her call.

My palm rests in the stillness of a beast’s outer crust

Its mane wild but not ferocious.

I pray a pink bud kiss my cheek

As the world hums softly around me

For I am of the cherry blossoms.

We are of the cherry blossoms.

I am a petal.

You are a petal.

We are the people of the cherry blossoms.
