NYU To Test Self-Driving Buses By Firing All Drivers, Hoping For Best

NYU will be firing all of its bus drivers this week. As such, when next semester begins, the university will be testing the existence of self-driving buses. The administration admits that it has no idea whether the buses will end up being self-driving, but they’ll definitely be driverless.

In a statement sent out to the NYU community, the Transportation Department noted that this was the beginning of a new era for NYU transportation. “Now,” wrote the department, “there won’t be any drivers. Only buses. Crazy, right?”

Members of the community were confused by the news. Said one anonymous sophomore, “Where will the buses be? Will they just sit in front of Tisch?” Unfortunately, we had no more information, so we walked away when he asked that.
